... not quite meeting its advertised target… Sorry to say this app simply isnt useful at all for my purpose: Purchased it for trimming and converting HD DVB-S transport streams (h.264 video codec). The edit feature will not allow you to scrub through the film to identify the proper trimming positions; instead, the "bubble" will always snap right back to the beginning of the film. It does semm to work for SD material, however. A good thing, this is 50% off, otherwise it would have been an even bigger waste of money. Recommendation: Hands off if you intend to use it for HD material...

It goes to Itunes but the files cannot be transferted to Ipod.

As the title states, this is an excellent app. Able to convert any format to literally any other format needed, even some I hadnt actually heard of before. Loved being able to set several video files to convert and leaving them to run. Only giving it four stars because when I did this; it actually began converting all at once, which does save time, but I would prefer an option to convert one at a time instead.

Dont trust the list of supported media formats. Maybe some work but the ones I tried did not. Also doesnt allow you to choose a lot of video codecs. Sounds pretty useless to me.

Charges for full price!! Doesnt RIP videos correctly!! Dont purchase.

Does a very good job with some pretty obscure formats, and offers (limited) features for adjusting videos before processing – all in all, particularly useful if you are trying to convert for editing. Could be improved with logging and additional customization features (i.e. ability to add columns to the conversion window showing size/codec/... of output file). But a very useful application nonetheless – and Ive tried pretty much every converter out there.

You see the movie you want to convert in the window so you know it can read it, and then when you run it it says "success", after the progress bar finishes, but when you look in the place the output is supposed to be there is nothing there. It produces no files. Tried a variety of output types and nothing was produced for any of them, and I also tried several different input files.

It converted my MKV HD vids to iTunes format beautifully. The only complaint I have (and reason I didnt give it five stars) is that when you add multiple vids for conversion, you can only convert one at a time (and manually start the next one) or multiples at the same time. There is no option to convert one at a time and move to the next one automatically. I like to add a whole list of vids and hit start and forget about it till its done WITHOUT using ALL my computers resources. Please add this function!!

Freezes on me all the time. Was only able to use it on one conversion so far. It was a complete wast of money. I wish I would have saved my $24.99

I purchased this software after reading the reviews. I think most people were split between liking it and not, even external reviews. I took a gamble and it seemed to have payed off. I needed a program to convert my old .vob movie files (pc based) to .mov/.mp4. Downloaded the additional free decrypter plugin and have had no problems since. I did notice some issue with other extensions such as .m4v. Waiting to see how burning turnout. Update: Program has worked well. No issues merging multiple .vob or .mp4 files into one file. One of the issues surrounding the program is with the output time of the program you are working with. Some of my files when originally converting from my disk to .VOB had innaccurratly registered the viewing counter. Ex. a 2 hour show is registered in the file as a 25 minute program. This impacts the program working accutaly because it only thinks that it should have 25 minutes of output when recording even though the show is complete. Hopfully this will be fixed one day. ++ noticed that this program is easier and faster to operate tahn imovie when merging files.

This is the best converter! must have with the discount. Converts in to ALL formats including coustom formats GET IT. Super simple UI but great addons for advanced users! Meltdown: UI: 10/10 Conversion: 9/10 gets most but not all formats, DPG is still needed. Price: 8/10 , but get it now, 50% off! Worth (almost) every penny. edit: at the current version of this program, DPG conversion is broken please fix this. On 10.6.8 the converter stops at 98% with a massive file size output in the GBs

At first I dont know how to control it successfully, read the help document carefully, actually its easy to use(Im really dumpish~), and I add some videos into it, it converted to iPad MP4 videos for me with nice quality. Then tried to extract audios out of the videos, also gave me nice sound output. Good.

I recommend this one because its new 3D function. I did convert many movies to 3D. Although it cant compare with the effect of the cinema. I have to say the effect is good for satisfying my needs. And it supports all kinds of formats which I can think of.Devs!

This program offers no useful features or actions! It doesnt do anything. Crashes a lot. It completes 56% or 78% or 95% then it goes not responding and crashes. The results were awful - as it does not actually convert files to any format whatsoever. I am not going to waste my time trying to use. VERY disappointed! I am pretty inept when it comes to computers and I hate when I look at the companys help page and it lists the problem and the solution, my question is why dont you fix it so it works like it used to. Isnt this someones job? Save yourself some time and trouble and avoid this pile of junk!!!

Very simple and excellent Media Converter, no annoying frills. Just find videos in the finder menu, open this app, drag and drop - it’s really that easy. You can convert it to almost any formats, including audios. It goes straight to iTunes so we can watch it there or it’s easy to then transfer the videos to iPad/iPhone. If you need to do some amends to your videos, just edit with the built-in video editing tools. Have fun with this app!

This app is extremely bad. Everytime I attempt to load a video, the app freezes up and disappears on the dock. It just doesn’t work. Please fix this! Unfortunately I think the app is completely unusable. My frustration has hit an all time high. This is the worst piece of trash! Pretty disappointed. Too bad, it takes for ever to crash, I meant load. No wait, I did mean crash. Can’t do anything and really hard to use. Gonna be thouht and try anyway? I can’t believe it’s this bad.
